In memory of those who lost their lives, students and staff of
Rivington and Blackrod High School have, with the support of the
Heritage Lottery Fund, created a website to remember former students
and members of our Horwich and Blackrod community who were involved in
Our students have spent time at the Menin Gate War Memorial in
Belgium and have dedicated time to explore the impact that the war had
on their community, remembering with dedication each fallen service man
We hope that this website reflects the work that the students and
staff have done to explore, commemorate and remember the centenary of
the war and those who gave their lives in the Great War.
